THE GHOST OF SARA

"Kary-May, I am leaving for a while and won't be back until after six so i want you to be responsible with your choices!" Kary-May's mother yelled from the front door. Kary-May sighed and tried to sound inicent, "What ever do you mean mother?" Kary-May was always the smart mouth of the family. "No one is to come foot in this house until i get home! I love you, and have a good day! The emergency numbers are posted on the fridge!" she replied. Kary-May sighed and tossed the dog toy out of her hand as her dog began to get excited. She petted Biggy, her pit bull, and plunged downward in a chair in at the dining room table. "Man there is nothing to do in this stupid house!" she groaned. She put her face in her hands and let out a long groan. Then something that sounded like foot steps came toward her. Except she was on the top level of her house. The only thing above her was the attic. It didn't seem to make since to her because the only way to the attic was in her room and that was right next to her. She would have notices if someone came through the bedroom. All of a sudden her dog started growling like there was a ghost in the room, but he was look... up. The hair on her arms and neck started to rise and chills swept her back. Then there were stomps above her. She jumped up and ran to her parents room and grabbed the phone. She called her moms number but she didn't answer. She wanted so bad to invite a friend over to get the stupid thing that is making the noise, out. Her hear rate was increasing. The phone rang and the was so frightened, she dropped the phone but scrambled to the shaggy carpet to get it.  It was her mom. She pushed talk and said, "Hello? Mom?"                                                                        "Kary-May? What's the matter? i can hear it in your voice! Something is wrong!"           "Mom I think someone is in the attic. No i know someone is in the attic! I am hearing foot steps and stomps! Biggy is freaking out and growling and my hair is standing up and m-my back is getting the chills! Can someone please come over?" Kary-May said getting out of breath."Oh good one. I actually almost believed you!" her mom said almost laughing. Kary-May was almost in tears."Mom, please." she paused and started to get that lump in her throat that she got when she gets worked up, "I am scared!" Her mom paused and sighed.                  "Yes i would like to have the number ten, please. With a sprite for the drink. Thank you!" the sound of a car pulling up to a window at a fast food restaurant echoed into the phone. "Kary-May ,no i will be home in a few hours. You may invite one or two of your friends over then. But right now i have to go. I have a meeting in a half an hour and i need to get there and eat before the meeting. I love you, bye." the phone clicked and then she knew she was all alone. she had the phone in her hand and dialed 9-1-1. She didn't press talk though. She was just getting it ready if the person comes out of the attic. "I have to go up there!" she said to herself. she went to her room and looked up at the passage way that will lead her to the place were she heard the foot step and stomps.  She took a deep breath after staring at the attic hole for a good minute or two. She opened the closet and got the latter out. After connecting the latter the wall hooks, she began climbing the steps.  As she opened the square door, it began it squeek. She climbed through the hole but she dropped the phone. she looked down on it and watched her emergency phone drop fifteen feet below her as she gasped. when she looked back up, she became face to face with a girl about her age, but she looked different. She looked dead! she screamed on the top of her lungs. The girl moved her lips and said,  "Kar- Ey-May."  Kary-May began to become silent. Kary-May flinched as she pointed at her, then a trunk in the corner. "Do you want me to open it?" Kary-May asked in confusion. The little girl nodded slowly. Kary-May began to go over there. by the time she opened the trunk, the girl finally reached her side. The trunk was full of pictures and papers and right on top, was a black leathered diary. The ghost girl pointed to a picture a a beautiful girl. She had a smooth paleish face, blue eyes, black hair that went to the middle of her back, and a beautiful smile. "Is this.. is this ...you?" she asked in an adoring tone. The girl nodded. Kary-May looked at it closely. Something looked familiar to her. THE HOUSE! It was her house in the background. "What happened?" Kary-Mary asked. The little girl pointed to a man next to her in the picture. "I am confused. What did he d.." she was interupted when the little girl pointed quickly at the diary. Kary-May gently picked up the diary. The little girl turned to the last few pages. Kary-May read the pages.

"How can i free you?" Kary-May asked trying to sound compationate to Sara.                                                                                    "turn the evidence into the police." Sara whispered.                                                                                                     "Okay"                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             ***************************************

Kary -May asked and smiled at the Sara. Sara smiled back and disapereared.
